Pokemon spread to another social network. There is now an official Japanese Pokemon TikTok account. As people might imagine, it will feature short videos involving characters from the series and information about it.
Here is the tweet announcing that the Japanese Pokemon TikTok is now open. It also confirms that the first video is live. However, the downside to this is that it is region-locked, so people using the service in another country, say the United States, will not be able to see the video. You should have no problem following the account, however.

This isn’t uncommon. There are official Pokemon accounts across various social media channels. In addition to the new Pokemon TikTok account and aforementioned Twitter one, there are also accounts on services like Facebook and Instagram.
In other news related to the series, a Pokemon Presents is about to take place on August 18, 2021. It will look at the three upcoming Nintendo Switch games. These are the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes of the DS games and the original Pokemon Legends Arceus open world title. The most recently released spin-off is Pokemon Unite, a MOBA immediately available on the Nintendo Switch and coming to mobile devices in September 2021.
