Norn9: Var Commons Whisks A Student To Turn-Of-The-Century Japan

Aksys picked up Norn9: Var Commons, a visual novel from Idea Factory, that starts with Sorata Suzuhara on a school field trip. When he hears a mysterious song he wanders from the group, blacks out, and wakes up in turn of the century Japan.

Sorata follows a mysterious girl on to an airship where he discovers 12 passengers, all espers with special powers on a journey given to them by a person called The World. Suddenly, the ship is attacked, but this isn’t an airship combat game. Norn9 is about the story and players will see it from the perspective of three female characters on the airship. You can talk to the other passengers and the fates of the characters will change depending on your decisions.

Norn9: Var Commons is scheduled come out for PlayStation Vita as both a digital and a retail game in North America this fall. Aksys will release Norn9 on PlayStation Network in Europe.
