No Online Fees For Monster Hunter Tri In North America

Capcom won’t charge a single point to play Monster Hunter Tri online in North America. Online play is free for us.

In Japan, players need to purchase hunting tickets before logging online. Fees are tiered with longer subscriptions offered at a discount. A 30 day subscription costs 800 Wii Points ($8) while a 90 day hunting ticket is 2,000 Wii Points ($20) or $6.66 a month.

 

Nintendo also announced Monster Hunter Tri will be sold with a Classic Controller Pro for $59.99. A standalone game goes for $49.99.
