Nippon Ichi Software announced a new dungeon RPG, titled Refrain’s Underground Dungeon and the Witch’s Brigade, in this week’s Japanese video game magazines. [Thanks, Hachima.]

The game is being developed in first-person view, and for the time being there’s not much information besides there being a spear-wielding character.

The director is Tatsuya Izumi, known for his works in The Witch and the Hundred Knight, Hayarigami, and he also worked on the first two Disgaea titles for Nippon Ichi. Disgaea character designer Takehito Harada will be in charge of designing the characters for the upcoming title.

“The game is packed with all the various know-how accumulated from directing games up until now, and we’re preparing a stage set in a very Nippon Ichi-like, fun, and mysterious world,” commented Izumi.

Refrain’s Underground Dungeon and the Witch’s Brigade will release this winter in Japan for PlayStation Vita.
