“[Nioh 2 Gold announcement] Nioh 2 has officially gone gold. We’re very happy to bring the further-evolved ‘Sengoku death game’ to you all. Nioh 2 will release next month, on March 12. There are also first-print bonuses, so please pre-order early.”
Yesterday, Team Ninja also announced that the first Nioh reached a new milestone of three million units in worldwide shipments and digital sales. Studio boss Yosuke Hayashi also mentioned his desire to create a new IP for PlayStation 5, as they did with Nioh for PlayStation 4.
Additionally, here are some more details for Nioh 2 from Team Ninja:
Master the lethal arts of the samurai as a mysterious half-human, half-supernatural Yokai warrior, in this challenging action RPG sequel.
Explore violent Sengoku-era Japan and the deadly Dark Realm, both plagued with grotesque, merciless demons.
Unsheathe your deadly weapons and cut down all enemies in your path using a revamped combat system and the ability to transform into a full Yokai to unleash devastating paranormal powers.
Nioh 2 will release for PlayStation 4 in Japan on March 12, 2020 and worldwide on March 13, 2020. The game was at its final phase of development last month.
