And here’s the launch trailer:

Starting out in Nioh 2, players can select from a variety of starter weapons to choose from, with your character being able to carry two from the start. Weapons include favorites from the first Nioh and its DLCs. It also features new weapons with the Double Hatchets and the Switchglaive.

The hatchets allow for swift hacks at your foes. Holding down the Triangle button lets you throw one of the blades for a long-ranged attack. The hatchets don’t have much power but they make up for it in speed. As for the Switchglaive, it offers three different playstyles based on stances. While holding the blade in a low stance you can use it like a dagger, mid stance makes it used as a spear-like weapon, then high stance turns it into a scythe. Since you can pick out two weapons from the start, it should be fun to kick off the campaign with the two new weapons. Check the PlayStation Blog for a quick starter guide on starting Nioh 2.

You can get a closer look at the two new weapons in our previous report with gameplay featuring producer Fumihiko Yasuda.

Nioh 2 will release for PlayStation 4 in Japan on March 12, 2020 and worldwide on March 13, 2020.
