Nintendo revealed a new Nintendo Switch Mario Red & Blue Edition console with colors based on Mario’s outfit. Moreover, it will mark the first time the console itself will be available in a different color. It will launch alongside Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury on February 12, 2021.
The Mario Red & Blue Edition Switch includes a pair of red Joy-Cons with special blue straps, just like Mario’s overalls. The included Joy-Con grip will be blue and the Switch dock will be red. The set will also come with a special carrying case and screen protector for the Switch console.
The console will cost $299.99/29,980円, so you’re essentially getting a free case and screen protector with the system. Pre-orders will go live in Japan starting on January 25, 2021. It will be available to purchase through select retailers in North America and Europe, though the stores weren’t named by Nintendo yet.
