Nintendo of America are launching the Nintendo Summer of Play event. As usual, it will tour across select US cities and allow attendees to engage in themed activities and try out Nintendo Switch games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Appearing at eight locations between June 15, 2023 and August 28, 2023, the Nintendo Summer of Play will also include a photobooth, an activity passport, and an opportunity to get a GameStop coupon for $10 off when buying $75 or more of select Nintendo products. If you have a Nintendo Account you could also receive a free gift and 100 Nintendo Platinum Points. Nintendo is expected to announce an additional location, bringing the total up to nine. Registrations are also open for the Nintendo Live event set to take place in Seattle in early September, and there are also Nintendo franchise themed events planned to take place in the Japanese cities of Fukuoka and Joetsu.
Available to play at the event will be Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Kirby’s Return to Dreamland, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. There will also be attractions based on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Splatoon 3, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and the upcoming Pikmin 4.
