Not much has been said regarding Nintendo’s paid online service, which is set to launch worldwide in 2018, but Nintendo Italy recently briefly updated the website for Nintendo Switch Online, saying that the service would launch in Fall 2018. [Thanks, wccftech]

The update was shortly changed back to a general 2018 launch window, which matches what is currently known. The service was originally meant to launch in Fall 2017, but was delayed until 2018. Nintendo Switch Online is meant to link to compatible games such as Splatoon 2, would allow pla.yers to invite friends and do voice chat, and subscribers would be able to download classic NES titles with online play, such as Balloon Fight.

Nintendo Switch Online has a general launch window of 2018.
