Nintendo applied for several new trademarks this week, including several GameCube trademarks that aren’t for general merchandise use, as well as trademarks for the upcoming Fire Emblem game and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC. [Thanks, Japanese Nintendo!]

Here is the full list of trademarks:

  • GameCube (video game use)
  • 風花雪月 (the Japanese subtitle for Fire Emblem: Three Houses)
  • 黄金の国イーラ (the Japanese name for Torna ~The Golden Country~)
  • Sky Skipper (the upcoming Virtual Console release)
  • Fitness Boxing (upcoming localization of Imagineer’s Fit Boxing)
  • NES
  • Nintendo Entertainment System
  • Game Boy
  • Nintendo 3DS (two of them)

In particular, here are the three GameCube patents:

gamecube 3

gamecube 2

gamecube 4

Back in May 2018, Nintendo previously patented N64 for TV game purposes as well.
