Nintendo Announces Nintendo 2DS, A Budget 3DS That Only Plays Games In 2D

2dsNintendo announced a revised version of the Nintendo 3DS called Nintendo 2DS. This is a cheaper version of the Nintendo 3DS that plays 3DS games, but only in 2D.

 

The Nintendo 2DS will launch on October 12, the same day as Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, for $129.99. A regular Nintendo 3DS costs $169.99 and the 3DS XL retails for $199.99.
