Those wanting to acquire the new Alarmo Sound Clock in Japan will need to own a Nintendo Switch Online subscription in order to apply for the lottery. In a message shared via the official Nintendo social media (formerly Twitter) account, the company apologized to customers for the lack of units, which has led to not everyone wanting to obtain an Alarmo to be able to purchase it.

Additionally, Nintendo confirmed in the same message that the company is currently looking into increasing the production of the Alarmo Sound Clock in order to satisfy the high demand for the product. While the Alarmo clock is available in Japan since October 9, 2024, there is no North American release date for the clock other than an early 2025 window.

Furthermore, Japanese social media users have started to share images of scalpers in second hand websites selling the Alarmo clock for over 20,000 yen (approximately $135).

The Nintendo Sound Clock Alarmo is now available in Japan and will continue to be sold via lottery. In North America the clock costs $99.99 and is now available for pre-order directly from Nintendo.
