People who have yet to purchase or play Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice may want to consider buying the game today. Ninja Theory has announced the October 10, 2017 sales of the game will be going to charity. All proceeds from purchases made will go to Rethink Mental Illness, an UK charity attempting to help people who are living with mental illnesses. This is in honor of World Mental Health Day, a day designed to make people more aware of mental health issues and provide help to those who need it.
In Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, people follow a Celtic warrior named Senua. She is dealing with PTSD and psychosis throughout the game as she attempts to delve into Helheim for the sake of her lover, Dillion, one of the many people killed by Vikings when she was away from the village. When researching and developing the game, Ninja Theory consulted with doctors and people impacted by mental illness to try and create an accurate and respectful portrayal of what a woman like Senua might be going through.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
