NieR Replicant was rated for PS4, Xbox One, and PC by the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee. [Thanks, Gamestalk.]
Square Enix recently announced its lineup of games for TGS 2020 Online and NieR Replicant was noticeably missing. However, the schedule also has a few broadcast slots marked as “coming soon” so there’s a chance we could see it during one of those. Now that the game has been rated in Taiwan, it shows that things are moving forward, and we might end up seeing more sooner than later.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is an upgraded version of the 2010 PS3 game, NieR Replicant. In addition to the improved graphics, the game will be fully-voiced with newly recorded voiceovers. It will also have completely prerecorded BGM and brand-new tracks by composer Keiichi Okabe.
Rather than a remake or remaster, the developers consider it an “upgrade” due to the significant amount of work that is going into it. With that being said since the camera work for the event scenes is the same as the original, the devs also consider it close to a remaster as well.
NieR Replicant is in development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.  NieR Gestalt and NieR Replicant first released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in April 2010. In case you missed it, Yoko Taro and Yosuke Saito talked about how the upgrade started and why they decided to go wit Toylogic as its developer.
