In the new video, we get to see the updated combat present in NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139. We previously saw NieR Replicant gameplay at TGS 2020 Online in a debug build of the game on PC. During the demonstration, we got a look at the Northern Plains area and a demonstration of the updated combat. The battles are being made to be more “exhilarating and punchy” for the upgraded NieR Replicant. The gameplay offers smoother action that involves interweaving magic and weapon attacks to take down monsters, so it’ll be pretty different from the original game.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 will release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Japan on April 22, 2021. The game will launch worldwide for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on April 23, 2021. The limited White Snow Edition is still available to pre-order in North America, Europe, and Japan. It includes the game, a script set, a Grimoire pin set, OST, and a Steelbook case, all in a fancy Lunar Tear Collector’s box.
