Several new environments are shown in the trailer, including an area made of white stone covered in red flowers. Previously, videos had showcased the desert region, which viewers are now given a better look at. This includes how exploration will be handled in these various environments.

Additionally, the trailer features a better look at combat. While a beta test had been available to Japanese players, which allowed them to test this function themselves, this footage provides a firsthand look. Three characters are shown in the combat demonstration, along with a combo counter.

You can watch the NieR Reincarnation opening movie below. However, there are bound to be some story spoilers nestled alongside the other footage. If you don’t want to spoil yourself you may want to avoid watching the video.

NieR Reincarnation will be available for Android and iOS devices in Japan on February 18, 2021. A pre-registration campaign is currently underway for the Japanese client. A global release is planned for North America and Europe, however a date has not yet been announced.
