NieR Re[in]carnation Concept Art and Screenshots Show More of its Mysterious World

Square Enix shared new screenshots and concept art that gives us another look inside the world of its upcoming mobile game NieR Reincarnation.

So far we got a look at “Cages” with different attributes of sand, snow, stone, and water.

Some fans speculated early on that the girl from NieR Reincarnation is Kainé from NieR with her similar hairstyle and color. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case based on Yoko Taro’s tongue-in-cheek comments from a recent interview.

We still don’t know much about the game, but the little ghost that follows the girl around is named “Mama”. Moreover, the game will have many protagonists. If you’re wondering how many, Yosuke Saito said that “There are many”.

NieR Reincarnation is in development for Apple iOS and Android.
