NieR: Orchestra Concert 12024 Trailer Appeared, Then Was Removed

Square Enix shared, then pulled, a new trailer on YouTube announcing a NieR: Orchestra Concert 12024. In the past, these concerts offered opportunities to hear songs from the series. Merchandise would also be sold alongside the events, with Blu-rays of the performance following. No date was set, but the numbers at the end often refer to the date. For example, the 12020 was a 2020 concert. Key art also appeared. [Thanks, Wario64!]

The subtitle for this performance is “the end of data.” A few of the highlights came up in the video. For example, Eric Roth will be the conductor. In the past, he conducted the A New World: intimate music from Final Fantasy performance. Like the theatrical one before, there will be a new story from Yoko Taro presented. It will star 2B and 9S, with Kira Buckland and Kyle McCarley reprising their roles for it. Those parts of the performance will be pre-recorded.

As for the key art, it features 2B and 9S staring at one of Emil’s heads while standing in a dilapidated city.

We’ve seen quite a few of these kinds of NieR series performances before. For example, the 12018 appeared in 2018, and Square Enix later sold the Blu-ray. there was NieR: Theatrical Orchestra 12020 in 2020, which ended up canceled due to the COVID pandemic. However, a Blu-ray did still appear for it.

The NieR: Orchestra Concert 12024 is on the way and, judging by the name, could appear in 2024. NieR Automata is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, while NieR Repliant is on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
