NieR: Automata Spinoff And Prequel To Be Told Through A Stage Play And Musical Next Year In Japan

Square Enix announced that an original NieR: Automata spinoff story and prequel will be told through a stage play called Shonen YoRHa Ver 1.0 and a musical called YoRHa Ver 1.2 in Japan next year.

The stage play Shonen YoRHa 1.0 will be the first to premiere in Japan starting January 31 through February 4, 2018. The performance that tells an original spinoff story based on NieR: Automata will take place at the Rikkokai Hall in Tokyo and will have nine showings.

As for the musical YoRHa Ver. 1.2, it’ll start in Japan on February 9 through February 13, 2018 at Theatre1010 in Tokyo. The prequel story is expected to have eight showings. Both Shonen YoRHa 1.0 and YoRHa Ver. 1.2 are written by Yoko Taro and have music by Keiichi Okaba with members of his studio Monaca.

 

NieR: Automata is available on PlayStation 4 and PC.
