Square Enix announced that their PlatinumGames-developed action RPG, NieR: Automata, has reached a new milestone of 4 million in worldwide shipments and digital sales since its February 2017 launch.

Here’s a new trailer for NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition to commemorate the new milestone:

Out of the 4 million, we know that over a million came from Japan and Asia on the PS4 alone.

The game is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but to give you an idea how it’s been selling, back in December 2018 it hit the 3.5 million milestone, and before that it was June 2018 when it hit 3 million. If you go back a few months before that it was at 2.5 million in March. The first milestone Square Enix announced was in April 2017 when it had sold its first million in April 2017. It then went on to hit 1.5 million in May 2017 and two million in September 2017.

NieR: Automata is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
