This week, Sega revealed that they’re currently developing the next Yakuza game during an interview with supervisor Toshihiro Nagoshi and producer Masayoshi Yokoyama. They share a few more details in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. (Thanks, Game Jouhou)
While details on the game remain light, the magazine report reveals that the game is in development for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. According to the magazine interview, it won’t be a spin-off title like Yakuza: Dead Souls or one that takes place in another era like Yakuza: Restoration.
However, it still remains a secret as to whether this new Yakuza title will be part o f the main-numbered series.
They also mention that there will be a bustling district (similar to Kamurocho but not specified,) in some form and that they’re thinking about making it into a game that the male audience can fully enjoy.
At the moment, they have auditions going on to get voices for the city or town folk in the game.
