We know who the next Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles free demon characters will be. Their identities showed up in the latest Weekly Shonen Jump. Rather than two new people, it is technically three. One will be Enmu, from the Mugen Train movie and arc. The other will consist of Tamayo and Yushiro, from the Asakusa arc, fighting as a pair. There’s no exact release date for the two of them, but they are expected to launch before December 2021 ends. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089!]
All three of these Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles characters appear in the game already, but aren’t playable. They show up as NPCs or opponents. Tamayo and Yushiro both appear fairly early in the story. When Tanjiro and Nezuko head to Asakusa, they end up meeting. Enmu doesn’t show up until the end of the game, which covers events through the Final Selection to Mugen Train arcs.
Ahead of launch, CyberConnect 2 confirmed that additional playable demons would be added to the game post-launch. The first two were Akaza from the Mugen Train arc and Rui from the Natagumo Mountain Arc. Then Susamaru and Yahaba from the Asakusa arc appeared.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC worldwide, with Enmu, Tamayo, and Yushiro joining the cast of playable characters soon.
