Next Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation Character Appears Worldwide Simultaneously

An announcement on the official Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation Facebook page revealed the next new character will launch simultaneously worldwide. Her identity is a secret, though the reveal is set for a stream that appears at 4am PT/7am ET on June 27, 2024.

The announcement stream will feature Maria Naganawa, who voices Koharu, as a host alongside Reina Kondo. Kondo plays the new character. The video will only be in Japanese and Chinese, but the slides with new character and update information will include English.

Here’s the placeholder for the stream on YouTube:

As Kondo never voiced anyone in the DOA series before, we don’t have any hints ahead of time about the new Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation character. However, you may recognize the voice actress from roles like Aru in Blue Archive, Hiori in The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors, and Sakura in Horimiya.

While this will mark the first time a Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation character appeared worldwide simultaneously, there was a situation in the past where the release dates were very close. When Tina Armstrong joined the game as part of DOA25th anniversary celebrations, she showed up almost everywhere at the same time. So people on DMM, Steam, and Johren could all recruit her in the gacha, with her joining in January or February 2022 depending on where people played.

Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation is available on PC via Steam, DMM, and Johren. Even though an English version is available, it is region-locked. So you can only play it Japan and Asia.
