‘News Report’ Announces Sword Art Online Game ‘Beaten’

Kadokawa released various videos “celebrating” the Sword Art Online video game being “beaten” and ending. In the original light novel, manga, and anime, the Sword Art Online VR MMORPG game itself was beaten by Kirito on November 7, 2024 at 2:55pm JST.

To celebrate the occasion and to promote the original light novel series, the Dengeki Bunko official YouTube channel posted a fictionalized news report sharing the news of the Sword Art Online game being beaten, and approximately 6,000 people waking up from their induced comas.

Dengeki Bunko also shared a synthesized voice video of Asuna and Kirito retelling various major events that took place during the Aincrad Arc of the Sword Art Online series, such as the duo teaming up for the first time to beat the boss of the first floor, the strategy used to beat The Gleam Eyes, the boss of the 74th floor, the incident with Kuradeel, meeting Yui and enjoying their life on the 22nd floor, and the final confrontation with Heathcliff on the 75th floor.
