A new element in the next Stardew Valley update has been teased by Eric “Concerned Ape” Barone on Twitter, and it involves multiplayer. When people start a new game, they are able to choose a map for their farm that might have different features that set it apart and help with certain sorts of production goals. When update 1.4 launches, a new Stardew Valley map called Four Corners will be in it.
Barone offered a look at Four Corners. It doesn’t showcase the whole map, but rather offers a glimpse of what people could do with one segment of it. It seems like it could showcase the center of the map, where the titular “four corners” meet. He also noted that this map is good for separate money, a requested multiplayer feature that gives each player their own money and doesn’t make it shared. (The text in the image even notes that one player made 1,000,000g on their own.)
Hey everyone, just wanted to share this screenshot from the upcoming 1.4 update! It’s a big one, & this image only reveals a fraction of what’s coming. As a reminder, one of the other features in update 1.4 involves the mine. If you collapse, you can get one of your items back by paying Marlon at the Adventurer’s Guild for it.
Stardew Valley is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, PC, and both Android and Apple iOS devices. As a reminder, update 1.4 will appear on PCs first, then head to consoles and mobile devices..
