New Stardew Valley Farm Type Revealed, Patch Release Time Suggested

Eric “Concerned Ape” Barone revealed the new Stardew Valley farm type will be the Meadowlands Farm ahead of the 1.6 patch release. The developer also confirmed that the update will arrive during the day on Pacific Time, so he can be around when it happens.

First, the update on the type of new farm in Stardew Valley appeared as part of Concerned Ape’s 1.6 patch notes teases. It clarified that this will be a type of farm someone may want to pick if they enjoy raising animals and ranching. This is because it starts with a chicken coop that has two chickens and grass around to feed them.

This is one of many details about the update before its arrival. For example, one of the other teases noted that people will be able to drink mayonnaise going forward. Also, items in containers will match the color of the substance inside.

As for the Stardew Valley patch release time for 1.6, Concerned Ape noted it will happen during the day and on Pacific Time. When someone asked if it would have happened at midnight on March 19, 2024, the developer said no. The notices on social media also confirmed that the update would appear for Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs all at the same time. This is apparently going to be between 9am-12pm PT, which is 12pm-3pm ET.

Stardew Valley is available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PCs, mobile devices, and the PlayStation Vita. The 1.6 update will launch for PCs on March 19, 2024.
