In total, there are eight different items that you can purchase as part of this promotional. All of them will ship out in late September 2024. The most expensive item in this Square Enix promotion is the ATH-G1 gaming headset (Slime edition) from Dragon Quest X. It uses a light blue color that’s reminiscent of the iconic Slime monster from the series, with a picture of a Slime on one ear and a pattern of Slimes on the other. This gaming headset costs 27,280 JPY ($176.30).

All of the other merchandise are case covers for AirPods Pro. These covers are only compatible with the first generation of them, so you need to make sure you have the right size. You can purchase covers for Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster and Kingdom Hearts, with all of the covers costing 4950 JPY ($31.99).

Good Earphones/Headphones Day is November 18 in Japan. This is because when you read the numbers for eleven and eighteen in a certain way, it sounds like you’re saying “good ear.” Of course, this is not an actual holiday or anything. Instead, it’s more akin to how November 11 is Pocky Day (because the row of 1s resembles Pocky sticks) or how February 22 is National Cat Day.

The Square Enix Good Earphones/Headphones Day items will come out in late September 2024. They’re exclusive to the Japanese e-Store.
