A new Resident Evil movie is in development from Constantin Film, and this one is going all the way back. Many of the people working on the project have been revealed. Johannes Roberts, who has worked on horror movies like Darkhunters, Hellbreeder, The Other Side of the Door and Storage 24 will be working as both the director and the script writer. Robert Kulzer, who was the producer on the 2002 Resident Evil movie and follow ups like Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Resident Evil: Extinction, and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, will again be acting as the producer.

The new Resident Evil movie’s first cast members were also shared. Here’s the list of everyone involved so far.

  • Albert Wesker: Tom Hopper
  • Chris Redfield: Robbie Amell
  • Claire Redfield: Kaya Scodelario
  • Jill Valentine: Hannah John-Kamen
  • Leon S. Kennedy: Avan Jogia
  • William Birkin: Neal McDonough

This isn’t the only new Resident Evil project on the way. The other is a CGI series from Netflix. It will be called Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness and follow both Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy. That will show up in 2021.
