New Pokemon Model Kits Focus on Starters and Scizor

Bandai Namco’s Bandai Spirits announced new Pokemon model kits that involve the Red and Blue starters, the most recent Scarlet and Violet starters, and Scizor. The starters sets cost 2,145 yen (~$13.81) each and are expected to release in Japan in November 2024, while the Scizor model kit costs 1,540 yen (~$9.92) and will appear in December 2024.

As a reminder, the starters for Pokemon Red and Blue are Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Meanwhile, the recent Pokemon Scarlet and Violet starters are Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. As for Scizor, it is the Bug/Steel evolution of Scyther. It evolves by trading a Scyther while holding a Metal Coat.

The two starters model kits focus on static figures. However, the Scizor model kit features articulated arm and claw parts, as well as effect parts used to replicate moves that the creature can use. You can check out the three new Pokemon model kit sets here:

Bandai Spirits previously released other Pokemon model kits, with a figure of Pokemon Black and White Fire starter Tepig appearing in Japan on May 2023. Ones of characters like Rowlet and Greninja are also on Amazon.

The new Pokemon starter model kits are coming out in November 2024 in Japan, while the Scizor model kit will come out in December 2024.
