The latest episode of Pokémon Sunday gives you a look at a few of Black / White’s new features, including a brief glimpse at your new rivals — there are two of them now — and the version-specific aesthetic changes. The area seen around 1:03 in the clip, for example, is the same city, except that the architecture looks more futuristic in Black and more traditional in White.
Beyond this, however, are even greater version-exclusives, as far as environments are concerned. Pokémon Black will have you visiting the Black City, while Pokémon White contains White Forest. Both areas, seen below, feature their own exclusive quests.
Here’s an interesting point of note: When you begin your journey in Black / White, you’ll set out on…wait for it…Route 1. Perhaps there’s more to the Isshu region chronologically than has been let on so far?
Black / White also feature something called a Global Link system, by which you can sync your game with a Global Link website and use it to access minigames on your DS, and capture Pokémon you wouldn’t normally find in the Isshu region. And finally, the video reveals a few more new Pokémon as well.
