New PlayStation 3 Model Revealed; 25% Smaller Than Slim [Update 3]

A new PlayStation 3 model is on the way, Sony announced at an ongoing pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference today. The new model will be 50% smaller than the original PlayStation 3 and 25% smaller than the Slim model.

 

The new PS3 model will come in Charcoal Black and Classic White colours. The Black colour will come in 250 GB and 500 GB models. Meanwhile, Europe will get a model with 12 GB of internal flash memory. Here’s the full breakdown with pricing:

 

U.S.

250 GB Model – September 25th | $269

500 GB Model – October 10th | $299

 

The 250 GB Model in the U.S. will have a limited edition bundle that comes with the “Game of the Year” edition of Uncharted 3 and a credit for $30 worth of content for Dust 514. Meanwhile, the 500 GB model will have its own limited edition bundle, with Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 3 included.

 

Japan

Europe
