There is a new Octopath Traveler II character, and the video goes over the 2 cast members Osvald and Partitio. Each one is a party member whose story you’ll follow. Partitio is the Merchant of the game. That’s the role Tressa filled in the first game. Osvald, like Cyrus, is a Scholar.
Here’s the full Octopath Traveler II trailer. First, it shows Partitio and how he can spend his money to help his journey. He could buy things from people he meets. You can offer folks you encounter money for their possessions. You can also pay someone on the street to hire them as an ally. That companion can help in battle or when buying or selling. After that, Osvald comes up. A man wrongfully accused of killing his family, his skills include analyzing people out of battle and enemies when in one, as well as mugging in and out.
At the three minute mark, other gameplay details come up. The video points out how people can use canoes on river, a customizable boat to cross seas and oceans.
