Some of the designs seem to call back to certain imagery and patterns in NieR: Automata. However, little information has been revealed about the overall scenario in NieR Reincarnation.

There was a closed beta test exclusive to Japanese audiences back in July, which allowed NieR fans to get their first taste of this mobile title. Additionally, the development team behind NieR Reincarnation released a survey sharing what players enjoyed most about the beta, and areas where they thought the team could improve. The survey details how players felt about the scenario, character designs, combat, and other gameplay systems in Reincarnation.

NieR Reincarnation is in development for Apple iOS and Android.
