New Kotobukiya King of Fighters Bishoujo Figures Are Angel, Leona

We first learned about the Angel King of Fighters 2001 figure back in August 2023. At the time, Kotobukiya only shared a silhouette of the character. For this latest reveal, a painted prototype showed up. There’s no set release date for this 1/7 scale figure yet.

Here are two of the photos Kotobukiya shared.

The Leona King of Fighters ’97 figure is entirely new. Kotobukiya only teased her identity with a silhouette, as usual. However, her distinctive ponytail, gloves, and shorts can be seen in the outline.

This is the first teaser image for Leona.

There have been quite a few of these figures released over the years. For example, one appeared of Mai based on her King of Fighters ’98 appearance. The Athena one was also based on her look from the same game. Shermie’s drew from her SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy attire, as did the Terry Bogard one.

The King of Fighters Angel and Leona Bishoujo figures are in development, though there’s no release date for either one of them yet. However, as Angel is in the painted prototype phase, we will see her release first and it is likely she will show up in 2024.
