One of the new Switch games that showed up during the September 2021 Nintendo Direct starred Kirby. In 2022, people will be able to play Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Its first trailer showed Kirby washing up on a deserted beach and exploring the places he finds in this new area.
This is a game where Kirby can move in a 3D area. Some sort of past civilization lived on this land. It seems like there will be quite a few exploration elements here.
Here’s the first trailer for Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

We actually had an idea that this new Kirby Switch game was on the way. The official Japanese website updated showing it under 2022 ahead of the September 2021 Nintendo Direct. It also showed an initial image of Kirby exploring what appeared to be a deserted world.
This will be the first new Kirby game since Kirby Star Allies appeared in 2018. In the meantime, Nintendo brought Kirby’s Epic Yarn to the 3DS as Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn. It also released spin-off games like Super Kirby Clash and Kirby Fighters 2.
Kirby will come to the Nintendo Switch in 2022.
