The cast of Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact is getting larger, as the newest revealed character is Genthru. He’ll be a playable fighter, and a new trailer showed exactly how he’ll work when he enters the arena.
Editor’s Note: There will be spoilers regarding the Nen abilities Genthru has in Hunter x Hunter below.
An initial gameplay trailer showing how Genthru will work in Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact appeared. In the introduction shot, he appears alongside Bara and Sub. It seems both of them will join Genthru for some of his attacks, as we see them when the fight begins and when he summons both to attack Biscuit at the 11 second mark. His own established Nen abilities start to appear at the 13 second mark immediately after that. He first uses Little Flower against his opponent. At the 25 second mark, he performs his Countdown attack against Gon.

We will need to wait a while before we end up getting to play as Genthru in the game. Bushiroad announced it was being pushed back to 2025 at the end of September 2024. However, the delay seems to be for a good reason. The game will now include rollback netcode to ensure a more supportive online environment when it appears.
Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact will appear on the Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PC in 2025, now that it’s been delayed. The Hunter x Hunter anime is available to watch on Crunchyroll. You can also buy the localized manga from Viz Media.
