New Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 Relic Items Are Wishful Resin, Variable Dice

With Version 3.0 on the horizon, HoYoVerse detailed two new Relic customization items coming to Honkai: Star Rail in the update: Wishful Resin and Variable Dice. These items will grant players extra ways to control or re-roll the stats on their Relics. These will appear in-game alongside other new version content on January 15, 2025.

The new details originally appeared during the New Year’s Day stream, but a recent post on HoYoLab went over them in more detail. The first of the items, Wishful Resin, will allow players to further customize Relics when using the synthesis system in Honkai: Star Rail. By consuming a combination of Self-Modeling Resin and Wishful resin, both the primary stat and up to 2 secondary stats can be guaranteed when synthesizing which should help players achieve the stats they want for their characters with less farming.

Similarly, Variable Dice will allow you to re-roll which stats on an upgraded piece of gear receive level-up enhancements in Honkai: Star Rail. The goal with this item is to giving us a chance to fix our almost-perfect Relics. It’s another quality-of-life adjustment.

HoYoVerse revealed during a New Year’s Day livestream that Honkai: Star Rail 3.0, which is called Paean of Era Nova, would launch on January 15, 2025. The company also detailed the various upcoming gacha banners scheduled for the update, as well as which characters would feature on them. We’ll see two entirely new characters, with one being a five-star version of Herta.

Honkai: Star Rail is immediately available for PC, PS5, and mobile devices, while 3.0 and the new Relic items will arrive on January 15, 2025.
