Natsume has published a new post to their official website entitled “Happy New Year to our Worldwide Fans!” While the post opens with an expression of compassion for those facing pandemic-related difficulties before going on to talk about the company’s fortunately good year, much of the post addresses games from the Harvest Moon franchise. This includes information about the upcoming game, including an announcement that a Harvest Moon: One World Xbox One release is planned for the United States.
Notably, the company claims that Harvest Moon: One World will be the biggest Harvest Moon game to date, featuring “wide areas and exciting villages to explore while experiencing a farming life.” Beyond that, we also caught a glimpse of the game’s love interests in a trailer that released on December 17, 2020.
Natsume also mentioned that Harvest Moon: Light of Hope’s Special Edition, which released in 2018, and the Harvest Moon: Light of Hope’s Complete Edition, which released in 2019, have “maintained very strong sales.” Currently, it is the best selling title in the series’ history. Harvest Moon: Light of Hope shadow dropped back in September, 2020 for the Xbox One.
Harvest Moon: One World, which was delayed from a Fall, 2020 release, is expected to launch on March 2, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. The Xbox One version of the game doesn’t have a release date yet, but Natsume has stated that an announcement is planned for the “near future.” Preorders for a Collector’s Edition of Harvest Moon: One World by Limited Run Games begin on January 5, 2021.
