Back in March 2026, Bandai Namco and Cover announced a Gundam x Hololive crossover that would involve different Vtubers from the company being associated with the series, appearing with new art and designs, and creating songs and stories tied to the anime and mechs. At the Spring 2026 Gundam Conference, an update appeared revealing the art for the Phase 1 talents taking part and confirm the Phase 2 members who will also be part of the project. There’s a video showing everything off, though the official site hasn’t been updated yet as of time of writing. There are also still no details regarding merchandise plans, so it’s unknown if we could see items similar to the ones that appeared alongside the Hatsune Miku crossover.
The update video begins by looking at the phase 1 Vtubers taking part in the project. These are, from left to right in the header image that is part of the official art released by Bandai Namco and Cover, Houshou Marine, Rindo Chihaya, Shirakami Fubuki, Hoshimachi Suisei, Hakui Koyori, and Sakura Miko. We first see all six of them in custom pilot suits at the 10 second mark. At the 13 second mark, additional footage of chibi versions of them in “nuigrumi armor” based on different Gundam units appears. These are basically hooded pajama style costumes. Their unique emblems appear after that.
At the 33 second mark, the phase 2 Vtubers taking part in the Hololive Gundam crossover appear, and this marks the first appearance of English branch members for this collaboration. Both Calliope Mori and IRyS are part of the second part. They join Oozora Subaru, Todoroki Hajime, Tsunomaki Watame, and Usada Pekora.
Here’s the full trailer for this collaboration:
The Gundam x Hololive crossover project is in progress, though it will take some time before we see both the phase 1 and phase 2 Vtubers start creating songs, mini episodes, and other projects tied to it. That also means it could be a bit longer before we see merchandise tied to the collaboration.
