New Gundam Base Satellite Store Will Open in Hiroshima

Bandai Namco announced that it will open a new branch of The Gundam Base Satellite store in Japan’s Hiroshima Prefecture in November 2024. People living in or near Hiroshima City will be able to access the store that exclusively sells merchandise from the Gundam franchise without having to make longer trips.

The new outlet will be located at Aeon Mall Hiroshima Fuchu, in the nearby city of Fuchu in the same prefecture. People can reach the mall from the Hiroshima Station in Hiroshima City by taking either the JR Geibi Line train to Yaga or the JR San’yo Line train to Tenjingawa. They can also alternatively take the shuttle bus that departs from the nearby Sheraton Grand Hotel Hiroshima.

Hiroshima will be the fourth location in Japan to have a Gundam Base Satellite outlet. The Bandai Namco group had previously established similar outlets in Kyoto, Nagoya, and Sendai. The franchise has its main stores located in Tokyo and Fukuoka.

Bandai Namco has also established permanent overseas outlets in Mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Thailand. It also held a brief mobile tour in Las Vegas and New Orleans in the US between late 2023 and early 2024. The group has still yet to set up a permanent Gundam-dedicated store in the US as of early August 2024.

The Gundam Base Satellite Hiroshima store will be available on the third floor of Aeon Mall Hiroshima Fuchu in November 2024.
