New Genshin Impact Event Has You Delivering Food Everywhere

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

While there’s already one Genshin Impact event involving gliding running in-game, that apparently isn’t stopping miHoYo from starting another one. This one, however, won’t require folks to take to the skies. While It’s Warm might instead test your knowledge of Teyvat’s shortcuts, as it will involve delivering in-game restaurants’ food starting on December 11, 2020.

When the While It’s Warm Genshin Impact event is active, people will be able to stop by Mondstadt’s Good Hunter and Liyue’s Wanmin Restaurant and Wangshu Inn to help out each establishment’s chefs with orders. Once you take on a task, you’ll have to reach the customer before time runs out. If you don’t make it in time or complete the three daily orders, you won’t get Promogems. However, the announcement did confirm that people can retry a delivery if they fail.

It also seems like deliveries could be more difficult than ones that might pop up as daily commissions in Genshin Impact. In addition to requiring participants to be at Adventure Rank 20 or higher, you might be limited in how you reach the customer. For example, two examples given suggest taking damage from environmental or enemy attacks or running with the food are two actions that could cause you to immediately fail.

Genshin Impact is available for the PlayStation 4, PC, and both Android and Apple iOS devices. A Nintendo Switch version is also in development. The upcoming While It’s Warm Genshin Impact event will run between December 11-18, 2020.
