New Genshin Impact Character Sethos Teased

In the 4.6 Genshin Impact Special Program, a new installment in the Cyno character quest was teased alongside a character named Sethos. He’ll apparently play a large part in that story.

We first get to see Sethos at the 2:45 minute mark of the Special Program. He’s watching Cyno from afar. Then, at the 3:14 mark, see him about to square off against the five-star Electro character in a Rite of Duels. Apparently, this is a battle for “the wisdom of Hermanubis.” We don’t get any hint about what sort of weapon Sethos might use. Later in the showcase at the 18:25 mark, it’s explained that Act II of Lupus Aureus Chapter will involve Cyno investigating a Sumeru City mystery and encountering someone he knows. The brief clip there shows Sethos discussing something with Cyno.

Here’s the official social media post revealing that Sethos will be a new Genshin Impact character. It also noted his voice actors. Zeno Robinson, who recently played Junpei in Persona 3 Reload and Yeyasu in Disgaea 7, is his English voice actor. Shoya Chiba, who people may recognize as Kaie in NEO The World Ends with You and Sigma in Bungo Stray Dogs, plays the character in Japanese.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the release date for the 4.6 update is April 24, 2024. People can use and redeem the 4.6 Special ProgramPrimogem codes until the end of the day on April 12, 2024 or they run out. You can also catch the Special Program on YouTube.
