New Fire Force Game is in Development

An original Fire Force video game is in development, with Mrs. Green Apple providing the theme song. So far, there’s no information on release platform, publisher, developer, or release window. Leaker ryokutya2089 said that the game will come out around when Fire Force season 3 airs. While season 3 is in development, there’s no news on when exactly it will start to air. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

This will not be the first Fire Force game. Fire Force: Battle of the Flame Road came out in 2020. This side-scrolling game came out on iOS and Android devices in Japan, and draws inspiration from the first ending of the second season. For context, the ending animation has the silhouettes of various characters running on a street while enemies appear on-screen.

Fire Force is a manga and anime series from Atsushi Ohkubo, who previously wrote and drew Soul Eater. It follows the story of Shinra Kusakabe, who is capable of pyrokinesis in a world where pyrokinetics can work as firefighters. There has been an uptick of spontaneous human combustion cases, which Shinra works to solve after he joins Special Fire Force Company 8. Mrs. Green Apple, who previously provided the ending theme for Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V, sang the first opening, ā€œInferno.ā€

The Fire Force video game is in development. More information should appear soon.
