Studio Saizensen, the developer behind Code of Princess and Umihara Kawase is developing a new crossover fighter called Blade Strangers for PS4, Switch, and PC. [Thanks, Nintendo Everything.]

The above is a look at some footage shown by publisher Nicalis during Twitch’s official E3 2017 live stream. So far we’ve seen characters from Code of Princess, Cave Story, and the Umihara Kawase series.

Blade Strangers features Mission Mode, Versus Mode, Training Mode, and Online Mode with gameplay that compares to a mixture of Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, and the easy inputs of Smash Bros.

Characters were made as 3D models first and were turned into 2D sprites for the game’s designs, and we’ll see cut-scenes and character interaction for its Story Mode, which plays more like a traditional arcade mode.

Mission Mode is where you’ll take on specific tasks, Training Mode will let you practice using a dummy. We’ll get more announcements including new characters as well as stages from the actual games. The developers plan to continue with updates after releasing the game.

Blade Strangers is in development for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
