New Dr Mario World Doctor Is 3 Goombas in a Lab Coat

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

The cast of Dr Mario World characters has expanded and… well, we need to get someone in here to check this professional’s credentials. Dr. Goomba Tower has been paged and, well, they are a stack of goombas. According to the official Twitter account, they’ll be ready to start seeing patients on April 27, 2020.

We have officially reached the point where one of the Dr Mario World characters is three goombas standing on top of each other and wearing a lab coat. I don’t know where we go from here.

No details about who Dr. Goomba Tower is and how they ended up managing to get their medical degree has been revealed. It also hasn’t been mentioned why or how this doctor wears a lab coat and keeps it on when they have no shoulders or arms. The unique ability for the character (or is it characters?) also hasn’t been revealed.

While this may seem strange, there are plenty of unusual Dr Mario World characters in the game. For example, after Dr. Rosalina and Dr. Luigi were added, the game ended up adding Dr. Fire Luigi and Dr. Fire Rosalina. (Naturally, Dr. Fire Mario and Dr. Fire Peach were already there.) While they are likely still children, we have Koopalings Doogie Howsering it up in here with Dr. Larry and Dr. Roy attending to the situation. They aren’t the youngest medical professionals out there, as Dr. Baby Mario and Dr. Baby Luigi fight viruses when they aren’t trying to learn to walk.

Dr Mario World is available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
