Toei Animation has revealed the first key visual for Digimon Beatbreak, which will be the newest mainline Digimon anime series. It’ll start airing in October 2025, with more details to come later.

The Digimon Beatbreak key visual shows the protagonist with his partner Digimon. The protagonist for this show has spiky hair, as well as glasses rather than the traditional goggles (though Hiro of Ghost Game didn’t wear them either). He’s also wearing Crocs in sports mode, so you know he means business. As for his partner Digimon, it looks like a lizard with three spikes on its head and an upside-down crescent moon on its forehead.

You can watch a short teaser video below:

The catchphrase for the series describes Digimon as “creatures that devour emotions.” As a whole, the aesthetic and vibe of the key visual seems quite different from previous shows in the franchise. Aside from the protagonist’s cooler fashion sense, we can also see words that look like graffiti on the background behind him. Without a detailed synopsis or trailer, though, it’s hard to tell if Digimon Beatbreak will take the series in a different direction.

Digimon Beatbreak will start airing in October 2025. More information on the plot and cast, as well as where to watch it, will appear later on.
