Buddy Collection Extra: Kochousou no Kimyou-na Gonin will feature a scenario called “The Peculiar Five of Butterfly Manor,” which will contain routes for the characters Shingo Inui, Shouta Taki, and Haruka Kojou. This scenario is new to the Buddy Collection, has voiceover, and will further develop on the world and characters of the series. There will also be hidden scenes within the individual routes.

The first console game for the series was Buddy Collection If: Red Thread of Fate, which released for the Nintendo Switch via eShop in Japan on April 26, 2018. Prior to this release, PLiCy had primarily worked on titles for PC browsers. Like, Buddy Collection If: Red Thread of Fate, the story and gameplay in Buddy Collection Extra: Kochousou no Kimyou-na Gonin will heavily feature processes of deduction.

The game is expected to cost 1,980 yen upon release. There is no word yet as to whether or not the title will be released outside of Japan anytime soon.
