Leading the charge of these releases are Science Saru’s adaptation of DAN DA DAN, Powerhouse Animation’s Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, sports romance anime: Blue Box by TMS and Telecom Animation Film, and the Mappa Studios adaptation of Ranma 1/2. Gundam: Requiem For Vengeance will also appear on Netflix alongside Isao Takahata and Studio Ghibli’s landmark film Grave of the Fireflies.

The releases will be staggered through the month of October, with DAN DA DAN streaming on October 3, 2024 alongside Blue Box. Ranma 1/2 will release October 5, 2024. Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft will begin its run on October 10, 2024, and Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance will follow a week later, releasing on October 17, 2024.

While this recent announcement focuses mainly on reminding viewers of what is on the way for the month of October, it follows a number of Netflix anime announcements. In September, 2024, they showed off trailers and announced release windows for both Castlevania Nocturne’s second season and a closer look at the Devil May Cry anime starring Johnny Yong Bosch as the devil hunter Dante Sparda.

DAN DA DAN, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, Blue Box, Ranma 1/2, and Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance will begin streaming on Netflix in October, 2024.
