Netflix released a new trailer for the upcoming Castlevania: Nocturne anime series. The first season of the new show is set in 1792, and it follows the iconic vampire slayer Richter Belmont facing a new vampiric threat during the French Revolution. Richter will be accompanied by young revolutionary Maria Renard and Caribbean sorceress Annette.

Edward Bluemel voices Richter Belmont in this new adaptation. Meanwhile, Pixie Davies voices Maria Renard, and Thuso Mbedu voices Annette. The main antagonist of the new series will be legendary vampire Erzsebet Báthory, and she is voiced by Franka Potente.
Castlevania: Nocturne is a sequel to the original Castlevania Netflix series. The show is based on the Konami video game series, and the new Nocturne series adapts Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, originally released for the PC Engine, and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the PS1.
The original series ran for four seasons between 2017 and 2021, and it adapted Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse for the NES. It also included characters and elements from Castlevania: Curse of Darkness for the PS2.
The Castlevania: Nocturne anime series is coming to Netflix on September 28, 2023. A digital livestream premiere event for the series will start on September 27 at 9am PT/12pm ET, and it will be available from the Netflix YouTube and Twitch channels.
