It wasn’t that long ago that we saw the release of special versions of the NeoGeo Mini in the form of a Christmas version and several themed after various Samurai Shodown characters, but SNK has announced a new Samurai Shodown-themed one based on Kuroko the black-garbed judge. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

This special edition will come with an HDMI cord, an anti-sliding placemat, as well as two NeoGeo Mini gamepads that originally are sold separately. It also has some extra goodies like character stickers and a character card.

Seven new games will be added compared to the normal version, being Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 4, Metal Slug 5, King of the Monsters, The King of Fighters 2001, The King of Fighters 2002, Shock Troopers, and Mutation Nation. All of the above save for Mutation Nation, which seems completely new to the NeoGeo Mini, have appeared on other special editions in the past.

The NeoGeo Mini Samurai Shodown Special Edition Kuroko version will release on September 30, 2019, limited at 3,000 units total. Preorders are now live.
